Red Aspen Review

Image
Last month I received my Red Aspen order. I had gotten Short Nail Dashes; Annabelle Got an Amethyst, and Pedi Dashes; Kaitlyn's Living Coral. The Nail Dashes were $15 and the Pedi Dashes were $16, after tax and shipping it was $40.  In all honesty, I almost didn't buy them when I saw the total. They advertise as "cheaper than going to a salon", but if I just went and got a regular mani-pedi, it would've been that price. Plus, I don't usually get pedi's anyway because I don't like people touching my feet, so I almost didn't buy them because I could get my acrylics done for that price.  I received my nails on September 4th and decided to put them on that day. I started with my toes because I knew once I put my nails on it'd be a struggle to do my toes. Well, it was a struggle even without nails on. The nails were small, I knew they would be because it's for toes, but I wish they would've had some sort of holder or something to help apply ...

My After Birth Story

Image
Since I wrote about my birth story, I felt you guys deserved to hear my recovery story too. WARNING: This blog post may contain triggers, graphic descriptions, and a little too much information.  If you read my previous post, My Birth Story, then you know that my son was born via emergency c-section. Luckily I prepared to have him either via Vaginal or Cesarean. However, a lot of moms don’t, and they feel their birth plan is ruined when it doesn’t go the way they want it to. Now, I know you’ve probably heard this a million times (at least I did when pregnant), your birth plan isn’t going to go as planned. It’s such an unpredictable time and there is so much going on. When we left to the hospital we had to turn around cuz I forgot something, and then I still forgot my glasses! I was in such a dazed state too, it felt so surreal. Laying in a hospital, having an oxygen mask, the contractions, preparing for my c-section, holding my son. It felt so surreal and I couldn’t believe h...

How Waterproof is SeneGence products?

Image
SeneGence advertises their makeup as waterproof, workout proof, life proof. Their makeup is on the more expensive side due to this, plus their products help improve your skin as well, where are most makeups don’t. Majority of their makeup contains anti-aging and some even include SPF! Now, I know there are a lot of skeptics out there. That is why instead of just showing before and after photos, like I usually do, I decided to do a video along with the photos! A few weeks ago I did my makeup like this (photo above). I then went to my family’s house to go swimming with everyone. I went to go dunk under and as I am doing so I hear my cousin go, “Oh no your pretty makeup!” As I came back up I could hear her say, “...or not?” 1. I had totally forgot I even had the makeup on! That’s how great SeneGence makeup feels! 2. The makeup stayed perfectly in place and didn’t even smudge from being under water! After my cousins reaction and how great my makeup still was, I decided that I needed ...

My New Job!

Image
Hello guys! I have started working with  S enegence!😁💄  I hope you'll join me on this new chapter I'm starting in my life! I am super excited about starting this new business and hope you will be/are too! Love you all! When I got pregnant, my boyfriend and I decided that I would be a stay at home mom. We both agreed it to be necessary that I stay home for the first year, but would be ideal to stay at home until all our kids start school. We're talking about having more kids in the next few years and we want to make sure they get the right care and it will be cheaper for us than if I was to work and we were to get a nanny or do daycare. His one requirement if I was to do this was that I had to have a creative outlet so I don't go stir crazy just being at home with the baby (babies) all day. That's when I started working on this blog! Well, last September I got introduced to a company, called Senegence, that allows me, and encourages me, to work on this blog, be a...

My Birth Story

Image
November 13, 2019 1am Getting ready for bed when Wes was moving like crazy and morphing my belly into unusual ways. 🤰🏻 2:30am Couldn’t sleep due to period type pains 🤦🏻‍♀️ 3:00am Started tracking contractions. Immediately they’re 5 minutes apart and 1 minute long. ⏱ Decided I wouldn’t wake up Bryan until they’ve been going on for an hour. 3:30am I started feeling pressure in my cervix and then a GUSH of water that soaked the entire bed. I woke up Bryan and we headed to the hospital 🏥 4/4:30am Arrived at hospital. Told they don’t have Labor & Delivery, but since I’m in active labor they are going to transfer me to my OB hospital...IN A HELICOPTER! 🚁 they checked our vitals and I was only 1cm dilated. 5/6am Bryan heads to hospital so he can meet the helicopter there. It’s a 45-60 min drive away. The helicopter arrives and they check mine & Wes’ vitals again, 2cm dilated. We get carted to the helicopter and we strapped down the entire ride. It was such a cool ex...
