How Waterproof is SeneGence products?

 SeneGence advertises their makeup as waterproof, workout proof, life proof. Their makeup is on the more expensive side due to this, plus their products help improve your skin as well, where are most makeups don’t. Majority of their makeup contains anti-aging and some even include SPF! Now, I know there are a lot of skeptics out there. That is why instead of just showing before and after photos, like I usually do, I decided to do a video along with the photos!

A few weeks ago I did my makeup like this (photo above). I then went to my family’s house to go swimming with everyone. I went to go dunk under and as I am doing so I hear my cousin go, “Oh no your pretty makeup!” As I came back up I could hear her say, “...or not?” 1. I had totally forgot I even had the makeup on! That’s how great SeneGence makeup feels! 2. The makeup stayed perfectly in place and didn’t even smudge from being under water!


After my cousins reaction and how great my makeup still was, I decided that I needed to make a video to show everyone me going under so they could have the same reaction she did! Below is the “Before photos”! All products used in photos on here will be listed at the end of this article. 



For this look (above), I started with Dark Circle Treatment under my eyes. Then, I did Silk Primer & Pore Minimizer all over my face, followed by Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer (Medium) mixed with Anti-Aging MakeSense Foundation (Almond). For my lid I used Fiery Coral ShadowSense, and Plasma Pink ShadowSense for my outer eye. I then used Starry Sky EyeSense for my wing to add a little pop to the bright color and finished it off with Waterproof LashSense Mascara. For my lips I did 2 layers of Pop Art Pink LipSense with 1 layer of Lilac Lacquer in between and topped it with Pink Matte Gloss.


After grocery shopping, unloading the grocery’s, and getting Wes and all our belonging into the car. We were on our way to Gigi’s to go swimming! Here is the video of me going underwater to go swimming with a FULL FACE OF MAKEUP!



After going underwater and swimming for about an hour, I wanted to take pictures while still in the pool to show how my makeup still looked! (The results below speak for themselves!)



The first photo of the day was taken at 11AM, just after finishing my makeup. The last photo was taken at 5PM after a day full of running errands, and swimming! SeneGence makeup and skin care really is life proof! I have never loved a makeup so much as I do this companies! Plus it doesn’t feel cakey or oily on my skin, even after wearing it all day!

My After Birth Story

 Since I wrote about my birth story, I felt you guys deserved to hear my recovery story too. WARNING: This blog post may contain triggers, graphic descriptions, and a little too much information.  If you read my previous post, My Birth Story, then you know that my son was born via emergency c-section. Luckily I prepared to have him either via Vaginal or Cesarean. However, a lot of moms don’t, and they feel their birth plan is ruined when it doesn’t go the way they want it to. My Birth Story

    November 13, 2019 1am Getting ready for bed when Wes was moving like crazy and morphing my belly into unusual ways. 🤰🏻 2:30am Couldn’t sleep due to period type pains 🤦🏻‍♀️ 3:00am Started tracking contractions. Immediately they’re 5 minutes apart and 1 minute long. ⏱ Decided I wouldn’t wake up Bryan until they’ve been going on for an hour. 3:30am I started feeling pressure in my cervix and then a GUSH of water that soaked the entire bed. I woke up Bryan and we headed to the hospital 🏥 4/4:30am Arrived at hospital. Told they don’t have Labor & Delivery, but since I’m in active labor they are going to transfer me to my OB hospital...IN A HELICOPTER! 🚁 they checked our vitals and I was only 1cm dilated. 5/6am Bryan heads to hospital so he can meet the helicopter there. It’s a 45-60 min drive away. The helicopter arrives and they check mine & Wes’ vitals again, 2cm dilated. We get carted to the helicopter and we strapped down the entire ride.
